The Ventura County Sheriff's Office provided an update on the search for actress Naya Rivera in Lake Piru.

During the press conference, officials said they are using multiple tools including sonar and search dogs to assist with the search.

Rivera was last seen in a boat on Wednesday. Based on where the boat was found Wednesday, officials believe it may have drifted from the north side of the lake.

According to VCSO, deputies were called to the lake when Rivera's 4-year-old son was found floating adrift in the boat.

The child reportedly told deputies that he had been swimming with his mother, but she never returned to the boat.

Rivera is best known for portraying Santana on Glee, which ran on Fox between 2009 and 2015.

Tulare County Sheriffs are assisting with the investigation.
