A family of five killed last week was remembered Sunday with candles, love and prayers in north Phoenix.

Police officers were called to the Buckner's home near 47th Avenue and Cactus Road on Tuesday morning for an active shooter situation.

Investigators say 26-year-old Alex Buckner fatally shot his parents, Vic and Kim, and his sisters, 18-year-old Kaitlin and 6-year-old Emma. Officials believe Alex also started a raging fire before he died in a confrontation with police.

Nearly 200 people came to the cul-de-sac in front of the home Sunday evening for a candlelight vigil. They shared memories of the victims. Some Glendale firefighters, who tried to save the victims, were also in attendance.

Relatives have raised several thousands of dollars through a GoFundMe account for the funerals of the family, and they continue to ask for donations in order to lay their loved ones to rest.
