TAFT, Calif. — The Taft Police Department could become the latest law enforcement agency to move forward with adding "In God We Trust" emblems on their patrol vehicles.
In August Pastor Angelo Frazier went to the Taft City Council requesting that council members move forward with the movement. Over the last few months, the cities of Bakersfield and Delano have approved Frazier's request to place the "In God We Trust" decals on police vehicles. The city of Tehachapi voted down the proposal.
Staff has recommended the Taft City Council approve the motion at Tuesday night's meeting, which starts at 6 p.m.
