A low pressure system worked it's way into the region on Friday. Kern County will see a cooling trend for the week ahead. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 60's on Sunday and Monday, but picking up back into those seasonal 70's by Tuesday. Starting Tuesday temperatures will remain near normal for this time of year.

We will see some precipitation North of Tehachapi on Sunday and snow in the higher elevation areas.

The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning from Sunday to Tuesday in the mountain and desert communities. Low humidities and increasing winds will cause an elevated fire danger in these areas. This wind will push out much of that smoke from the California wildfires. Kern County seeing an improvement in air quality, with an AQI of 81 on Sunday.
