BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This week on Breaking the Cycle of Gang Violence, we're speaking to Kern County Probation Department Supervisor Ahmed Baameur.

With nearly 20 years on the job, he discusses the patterns he's seen with juveniles on probation and adults on probation.

"There's no more important person or powerful person than a parent in the home, period." said Baameur. "That's even after a kid is placed on probation, because it's your house, your rules."

He discusses resources for parents and how he believes we can break the cycle of gang violence.
