You could get $1,000 for binge-watching Harry Potter, here's how

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The company EDsmart is offering five lucky "Potter-heads" $1,000 to do what they love to do most, binge-watch Harry Potter.

The offer includes all eight original Harry Potter movies and the spin-off Fantastic Beasts movies. The chosen applicant will get paid $1,000 to watch all the movies, plus $41.50 an hour and $200 worth in prizes.

The company says it will take 25 hours and 6 minutes to complete the task.

Applicants must be at lead 18 years old and an active social media user.

Once the five participants watch all the films, they will be asked to rank each film and write about their experience online.

"In the wake of stay-at-home orders and layoffs, EDsmart.org is trying to help flatten the economic curve for Harry Potter fans. Stuck at home. No job. We can all use some magic right now," wrote the company.

Applications must be submitted by be May 15.
