The family of 34-year-old Audreyanna Diana Rivera confirmed that her baby Josiah Adrian Rivera has died.

Audreyanna was nine months pregnant when she was shot and killed by her boyfriend, 36-year-old Javier Vidal, on Sunday.

According to the family, following the shooting, she was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries. Baby Josiah was treated and put in life support, but the family said there was no brain activity and he was taken off.

"Our family gained another angel today when precious Josiah joined his mommy in heaven this afternoon," the family said. "We are all still in shock over the loss of our beautiful Audrey in such a horrific manner and ask that you please keep her surviving in children in prayers as well as the rest of our family."

Following the shooting Sunday night, an Amber Alert was issued for a missing 2-year-old boy from the same area. According to the alert, Elias Vidal was reportedly taken by Vidal. Elias was located safely just after 11 pm.

Vidal was later located in the 2900 block of Taft Highway off Wible Road. A SWAT Team responded and gunfire was exchanged. Vidal was declared dead at the scene at about 4 a.m. Monday.

No law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
