President Donald Trump and rival Joe Biden are gearing up for their first debate Tuesday night and final preparations are underway. It will be unlike any other in modern American history.

The newly-nominated Supreme Court justice and the New York Times report on Trump's taxes are both expected to be brought up by Biden during the debate.

It will also offer a platform for the two candidates to outline their different visions for major crises like the pandemic and civil unrest.

California State University Bakersfield Assistant Professor and Pre-law Advisor in the Political Science Department Dr. Jeanine Kraybill provides a breakdown of what viewers can expect and what to be looking for.
