DELANO, Calif. — Court documents show that the man involved in the shooting death of Zeferino Santos Perfecto ,Aurelio Perfecto Aguilar, 48, has been charged with a felony count of carrying a loaded firearm without registration.
Just before 12:30 a.m., on Tuesday, January 1, Delano police responded to the Delano Regional Medical Center regarding a person who had recently sustained a gunshot wound.
Patrol officers were directed to a 49-year-old Zeferino Santos Perfecto, who had succumbed to his wounds. According to police, it was found that Santos was at a family gathering near 700 Fremont Street and was shot shortly after midnight.
According to the Delano Police Department,at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Aurelio Perfecto Aguilar, 48, was arrested
