ROSEMARY'S IS SET TO BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY IN HONOR AND CELEBRATION OF FOUNDER FRANCIS DEMARCO WHO DIED LAST WEEK. ROSEMARY'S MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT ON INSTAGRAM ON MONDAY. DEMARCO WAS 89-YEARS-OLD WHEN HE DIED. — Rosemary's is set to be closed Wednesday in honor and celebration of founder Francis DeMarco who died last week. Rosemary's made the announcement on Instagram on Monday. Demarco was 89-years-old when he died.

For the last 36 years, his legacy has brought sweetness and joy to the community through the sweet treats at Rosemary's Creamery.

Rosemary's has become a Bakersfield staple, located on the corner of F Street and 28th Street in downtown Bakersfield. The ice cream shop, named after DeMarco's wife of more than 60 years, was opened by the couple back in 1984.
