A sheriff's deputy in Texas has earned the life-saving medal for his heroic actions that literally brought a baby back to life.
Deputy Adam Dodson with the Brazos County Sheriff's Office was called to a home for reports of a 20-day old baby not breathing.
When he arrived, he jumped into action, patting the baby on the back repeatedly. He clears the baby's airway and performs the Heimlich for infants before he starts breathing again.
Dodson later got a call from a responding medic letting him know he saved the baby's life.
