FILE - In this March 10, 2020, file photo wearing gloves, a King County Election worker collect ballots from a drop box in the Washington State primary in Seattle. Washington is a vote by mail state. The filing period has started and closes next month.

Due to COVID-19, candidate filing will be by appointment only during regular business hours. Candidates can request an appointment to pick up nomination documents or request documents to be mailed or emailed.
