BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Officials say a 21-year-old woman, who accused two Bakersfield Police Officers for excessive force in 2017, was booked into jail Saturday morning but has since bailed out, after allegedly tampering with an officer's food.

According to a Kern County Sheriff's Office press release, McDonald's management showed KCSO video Friday of Tatyana Hargrove allegedly "intentionally" tampering with food served to an officer at the restaurant at 13003 Rosedale Highway Tuesday.

The release doesn't specify how Hargrove allegedly tampered with the food. Officials they will "not release surveillance footage of the incident at this time" to ensure the suspect’s right to a fair trial and to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Back in 2017 on Father's Day, Hargrove was shopping near Ming Avenue and Ashe Road. She says she was stopped by policeand asked to hand over her backpack.

In a video produced by the NAACP, Hargrove said "They never told me why they stopped me but after they beat and threw me in the cop car, that's when they explained that there was some guy with a machete that was inside the grocery store and they were looking for him and I matched the description.”

According to the police report obtained by 23ABC back in 2017, the alleged suspect was described as a black male in his 30s with a goatee, around 5’10”, 160 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt, and holding a pink duffle bag and a black backpack. The report states that officers saw Hargrove, who is 5’2 and 120 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and having a red and black backpack on. When officers asked to put her hands in the air, Hargrove resisted.

In October, a district court ruled in favor of the two officer's and determined they did not violate Hargrove's rights.

On Saturday morning, Hargrove was booked on one felony county of tampering with food but bailed out that same day.
