Corey O'Leary is a Multimedia Journalist at 23ABC. He joined the news team in January of 2023 after graduating from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Journalism. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and is incredibly excited to live in Kern County and learn about the rich history and important agriculture of the Central Valley.
His love of journalism started in high school, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Wheat Ridge Haystack. In college, he broadened his horizons, continuing to write but also marrying his passion for video production and journalism by joining MSU's weekly newscast The Met Report. It was there he overcame his on-camera anxiety and decided he wanted to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.
Outside of journalism, Corey loves to ride his bike, read science fiction books, and see as much live music as possible. He looks forward to connecting and learning from residents in Kern County!
