Rosaura Simone, 23ABC

Multi-media Journalist

Rosaura Simone joined 23ABC in July 2021. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California but was eager to see the world and has traveled to more than 23 countries.

Before coming to 23ABC, Simone received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and International Studies and her master’s in journalism and Mass Communications. She loves learning about new cultures. Having spent two years in Spain completing cross-cultural research for her university and teaching science she is now fluent in Spanish.

While pursuing her master's degree she also anchored for Cronkite News on Arizona PBS. In Simone’s final semester of her master’s, she worked as a bilingual health reporter for Arizona PBS. Rosaura often focused on underserved communities and worked with her editor to create pieces in Spanish for Cronkite Noticias which aired on Univision Arizona. She is eager to learn all that she can about Kern County and continue to give a voice to the voiceless.

When not at work you can find her researching her next travel destination or dancing Salsa and Bachata.
